With a goal to maintain this industry position, Haaker and Novvum imagined a new way to service the Haaker customers on the go and on the job.
Haaker technicians who use their large and complex trucks in the field require intimate knowledge of sewage nozzles and products. Because of the vast amount of information about nozzles and the on-demand nature of the sewage business it becomes hard for technicians to know find useful and dynamic information when they need it. Haaker has an extensive product line and variety of unique products and nozzles. Finding the right product for the job can be difficult and cumbersome. This presented an interesting problem to solve.

Solution, it's time to go mobile
The mobile app was designed and built to help the technicians in the field, who are using Haaker products, gain access to the products they need quickly. These trucks require specific nozzles for different jobs. It is part of the technician’s job to know what kind of nozzles these trucks require. To make it easier for the technicians on the field, Haaker's application recommends the right nozzles based on specific requirements from the technicians.
Using specifications like truck type, soil type, size and morer the Haaker API and app displays nozzle recommendations for every use case.
Building an easy to use and effective recommendation engine is a tough challenge both on the client and server side. In order to successfully engineer a product that exceeded Haaker's goals and extended the value the provide to their customers, Novvum built a robust GraphQL API connected to two React Native Mobile Applications. GraphQL laid out the foundation for n intuitive recommendation engine and unified API. The advantages of GraphQL provided a simple and scalable for Haaker's technical infrastructure moving forward. With a strong vision for product iterations, GraphQL will make it simple to extend and improve the Haaker API and the front end clients consuming it.
